Short Background

I finished my bachelor's in Mechatronics Engineering in 2019 at Ain Shams University. I worked as a Research Assistant for 1 year at the Robotics & Control Lab at Ain Shams University. I am now a Master's Student in Marine & Maritime Intelligent Robotics (Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree) at Universite de Toulon and Universidad Jaume I. My interests currently are Robotic manipulation, Computer Vision, Machine Learning/AI, and Autonomous Systems. I hope to continue on to a Ph.D. related to these areas.

Featured Projects

UJI-Butler: A Lifelong learning framework through human-robot interaction using Knowledge Bases, and Large Language Models

Github code

I used the Knowrob knowledge base and combined it with the GPT-3 to accomplish human-robot interaction and learning, I also used Google's Text-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text APIs. In addition to libraries that I have previously developed to work with manipulators using Moveit! (check codes of other projects below).

Autonomous Semi-Destructive Disassembly of E-Waste Labtops

Github code

I developed the perception (Detection of laptop components) and image based path planning of the cutting operations, also some of the robot helper functions that use the force/torque sensor for touch and force detection

Competitions & Awards

Best Scientific Mehodolgy Award

Robocup Middle Size League 2022 at Bangok,Thailand. Our Team (Robot Club Toulon) was also the Runner Up in the Technical Challenge. I was in the Localization team, and we developed the Extended Kalman Filter Implementation to fuse data from encoders, Lidar, and IMU in C#.

Runner Up in MIR Championship-The Guerledus Challenge
